These courses are intended for students aged 18 years or younger during the current school year (until June 30, 2026), in accordance with youth sector regulations.
This group course is 3 weeks long, for a total of 45 hours online teaching.
From July 7th to July 24th: 45 hours of online classes, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. These classes will be recorded and made available to students for review purposes. This period will provide an opportunity to revisit all essential knowledge.
The platform used is simple and user-friendly, and accessible on both computers and tablets. The course cannot be taken on a smartphone. These are not pre-recorded video lessons but live classes offered by a qualified and experienced teacher (synchronous mode). Your child will be able to ask questions during class, and will also be expected to interact and participate actively. The teacher rigorously monitors your child’s attendance, effort and participation. You will receive regular updates to inform you about the progression of your child in the class.
This course is intended for students currently enrolled in any Quebec francophone high school who have not successfully completed their course or who wish to consolidate their learning. For students who finished the last school year with a grade of under 50%, we strongly suggest and recommend that you register your child to one of our individual tutoring blocks to ensure his success.
The registration deadline for this course is July 6th, 2026 subject to space availability.
All cancellations must be made before 4:00 p.m., the day before the course starts, to be eligible for a full refund. To qualify for a refund, you must also submit your child's final report card, showing a passing grade. In the event of cancellation without proof of passing grade, a penalty of $125 will be applied. Cancellations made after 4:00 p.m., the day before the start of the course, will not be refunded.
The final exams will be completed remotely and will use the online monitoring platform Nexam. The final exams require the use of a laptop or desktop computer ONLY. Tablets are not supported for the final exams. It is the parents responsibility to provide access to a computer with an updated Google Chrome web browser for optimal functionality.
Final assessments, conducted entirely online, will evaluate the following competencies:
Competency 1: Theoretical component: Apply knowledge in chemistry.
Competency 2: Practical component: Seek answers or solutions to problems related to chemistry.
The final exams will be held online and will include both theoretical and practical components. However, students enrolled in the retake course must attend in person on July 30 and 31, 2026 to complete their exam.
École Succès Scolaire will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the student according to the support measures defined in their intervention plan, depending on the context and the course offering.
If a student has an intervention plan, it is the parent’s responsibility to provide all tools listed in the plan. École Succès Scolaire is not responsible for providing the tools listed in the student’s intervention plan.
The student’s learning record from the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec showing course eligibility will be requested in the registration form.
Exam results from Succès Scolaire will be released starting August 13th, 2026.
Although our courses are recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation, your home school’s promotion standards may vary. We therefore recommend verifying with your school before registering.
