In-person classes
In-person classes at Collège Charles-Lemoyne
Your child follows their School Success Academy online class from a classroom in Longueuil, alongside other students. Same teacher, same content, same group: only the location changes.
Why take an online class in a classroom?
For some students, home is not the best place to stay focused for three hours in a row. The in-person option gives them structure: a set place to go each week, a quiet room, a supervisor on site and other students working on the same subject at the same time.
The class itself does not change. It is taught live, remotely, by a qualified School Success Academy teacher. Students follow it on their own computer from a classroom at Collège Charles-Lemoyne in Longueuil.
This setting can make a real difference in a demanding class, where consistency matters as much as understanding the material.
Please note: this class is taught in French and is part of the French-sector curriculum.
What it is
- The same live class as the online option, with the same teacher
- A reserved classroom, overseen by a supervisor
- A set weekend time slot that gives the session its rhythm
What it is not
- A class taught by a teacher in the room
- A separate group with different content
- A requirement to travel for the evening workshops
A typical week in winter 2027
Each week includes one weekend class and one evening practice workshop. Only the weekend class takes place at the college.
Live class, followed in the classroom on the student's own computer, with a supervisor on site.
Practice workshop to apply what was covered in class, with support.
Attendance at the college
The session includes 15 weekend classes. Students must attend at least 12 of them at the college. If needed, they can follow up to 3 from home, online, at the same time.
What to know before the first class
What to bring
A personal computer, a mouse and a headset with a microphone. The class cannot be followed on a smartphone.
Supervision on site
A supervisor is present for the entire session to make sure everything runs smoothly. Teaching is delivered remotely, exactly as in the online option.
Evaluations
Students in the in-person option take their evaluations in person. The Ministry exam takes place at a partner school assigned according to the student's home address, not at Collège Charles-Lemoyne.
